2005 Season - Week 22

A week is a long time with the BUMS

Attached is the favourite chart of the year giving a graphical view of your position in the league table each week. 4 people led the Premiership and 3 led the Conference during the season. How high did you fly- how low did you go? All Time Leading Points Scorer During the season Chief took away Johnny’s All-time leading regular season points scorer title and he now holds the fort in every category:- highest regular season score, highest post-season point total and therefore the Official All-Time Leading Points scorer. He has also passed Wayne as the highest annual average scorer (7 points more than Wayne). Meantime Johnny dropped to third below his brother in the Overall Season Points scorer category. Look the proof is attached – I wouldn’t lie to you. Franchise Players 2006-2007 As mentioned before I shall be asking for your Franchise players for the next two years early in June as a number of key BUMS players are available for Free Agency and any moves they make plus big draft signings will have an impact on your decisions. Free Agency begins next week and players that may be available (if they don’t strike a deal very soon) include QBs Drew Bees and Jon Kitna, Running Backs Shaun Alexander, Edgerrin James, Jamal Lewis and Ahman Green, Receiver Antwaan Randle El and Kicker Adam Vinatieri. In the draft Scounts Inc suggests we look out for QB’s Matt Leinart (USC), Vince Young (Texas) and Jay Cutler (Vanderbilt). RB’s Reggie Bush (USC), DeAngelo Williams (Memphis), LenDale White (USC) and Laurence Maroney (Minnesota). Receivers to look out for include TE Vernon Davis (Maryland), Santonio Holmes (Ohio State) and Chad Jackson (Florida). BUMS on Seats The NFL Draft is on the evening of Saturday April 29th. Hopefully it will be back live on NASN again and we can get together to see the first round develop. It’ll be your chance to see what the experts feel about the big picks & how they’ll fit with the teams that take them. I‘m away that weekend but we will get together on the Bank Holiday Monday evening (May 1st) from around 5pm to watch the draft. I’m out of the country for 7 of the next 9 weeks so I’ll catch up with you all in mid April when I return. Best wishes – Chief.
